Punjab shocker: Viral video of owner shooting dead pet dog goes viral; cops register case

In a shocking incident, a dog was tied up and shot dead at point blank range by its owner and his ex-armyman friend in Punjab's Barnala.

According to news agency ANI, the duo recorded the act and later uploaded the incident on social media.

A case has been registered against the two individuals, who are currently absconding.

Last year, there was nationwide outrage after a viral video of two students throwing a dog off a terrace did the rounds. 

The suspects Ashish Paul, who recorded the video, and Gautam Sudharshan who filmed themselves throwing a dog off the terrace in Chennai, were identified an First Information Report (FIR) registered  

The dog, who was named Bhadra, was found with fractures and has been completely healed, however, she will have to live with a permanent limp as her right hind leg has been damaged beyond repair.

More recently, a video of a man continuously beating his pet has gone viral. The video which is doing rounds on the Internet has evoked a massive reaction on social media, with people demanding action on the man.  

The man in the video is seen teaching the dog how to write alphabets. When the dog refuses to pay attention, he slaps the animal to draw his attention to work again. The man in the video is seen repeating the action thrice. Another person filming the act is heard giggling and enjoying the fun game.
